Entrance to Major: Old versus New Requirements

College of Engineering undergraduate entrance to major (ETM) requirements have changed for students who entered Penn State during summer 2020 or later. Students who entered prior to summer 2020 but who may qualify under the new requirements (courses, credit window, AND cumulative GPA) can request ETM consideration under the updated requirements. The charts below illustrate the difference between the previous and new requirements. If, after reviewing this chart, you have questions please reach out to your academic adviser.

Note: New ETM GPA requirements were updated in Spring 2021.
