Engineering Advising Center
The Engineering Advising Center (EAC) primarily serves as the academic advising resource for students in their first and second year at University Park. Academic advisers in the Center can assist students in numerous ways on their academic journeys. The advising team is located in 208 Hammond.
Discussing educational and career goals is a part of any conversation. Advisers can help students explore majors, minors, and certificates based on their interests. Specifically, within the College of Engineering, students are highly encouraged to seek out adviser help regarding entrance-to-major requirements as well as degree requirements. Advisers can also assist with research opportunities, study abroad, internships and co-ops, and other experiences on campus that add to the world-class College of Engineering experience.
Students are encouraged to schedule a meeting in Starfish with any academic adviser.
Once students have been admitted to a College of Engineering major, they will be assigned to a faculty adviser in that major. Students should meet with an adviser at least once per semester.
