Degree Requirements
Completion of a baccalaureate (bachelor’s) degree demonstrates that you have depth of knowledge in a particular field as well as breadth of knowledge in a wide range of subjects. Depth of knowledge comes from the completion of a major. Breadth of knowledge comes from the completion of general education requirements. In order to graduate, you must fulfill all the General Education requirements in addition to the specific requirements for a major. Some students may also choose to complete a minor and/or a certificate through Penn State to deepen their knowledge in a supporting or complementary area.
